School Representatives - Preparing for life beyond Field Road Academy
At Field Road Academy, children across the school have the opportunity to apply and be interviewed for a variety of pupil roles that reflect careers they may wish to pursue later in life. These roles provide valuable opportunities for children to develop key skills, including communication, teamwork, leadership, organisation and responsibility, while making a positive contribution to our school community.
Each role comes with its own set of responsibilities, and children are rewarded with wages in the form of coins, which can be saved or spent at our very own Field Road Bank. The wages awarded reflect the level of responsibility associated with each role, helping children develop an understanding of earning, saving and managing money.
Through this initiative, we aim to build confidence, encourage ambition and prepare our pupils for the world of work, while promoting our school values of Respect, Resilience, Responsibility and Reflection.
